Blueberry Pear Smoothie (Two Ways) at Home

This blueberry smoothie is my go-to smoothie so far. I know it’s only the second smoothie recipe you’re seeing, but I’ve made smoothies in the past and I honestly reeally liked this one! I threw in all the ingredients that I had on hand into a blender and then I truly chugged a whole glass in 2.2 seconds, if that tells you anything!

And then I got brain freeze. Ouch.

For this Blueberry Pear Smoothie Gather:

  • blueberries
  • pear
  • ice
  • lemon or vanilla yogurt
  • sugar (optional)

First, here is what gather. The blueberries should be frozen, and if they have little ice chunks on them, that’s okay… I think they’re still good. Right?

I started off by cutting a pear in half, and then half again.

Then I remove the seeds and core and slice the halves into half. Following me?

And then I cut them into chunks. Doesn’t have to be dependable or anything, but being that I’m a Virgo, mine have to be.

Into your blender toss the ice…

…the lemon yogurt…

…the reliable pear chunks.

…blueberries…

…and finally the sugar.

Then I put the top onto my blender and let’er rip.

So pretty!

Since this dish is for two and I am only one, I bet you’re wondering what I do with the leftovers? I froze them. In a bowl. And then I scrape it up with a spoon into a tasty treat kinda like a yogurt granita– or should I call it a smoorita or gramoothie? Yeah probably not.

If you leave it in the freezer too long, it will get truly frozen. With that said, simply stick frozen smoothie bowl into another bowl of hot water for 20 or so minutes until slightly thawed.

My girls were tricked into thinking that their after-school snack was a sorbet-ish treat! Because that’s how I roll. I can still say that right? At 30?
