Banana Milkshake, Chocolate Style

Kitchen-made chocolate syrup, frozen bananas and ice cream for an extra thick chocolate banana milkshake! Break out your blender it’s time to sip deliciousness.

How about a chocolate banana milkshake for your Monday?

Lord knows I could sure use one everyday.

And if you recall, last week I mentioned that I made milkshakes. Well you didn’t think I’d leave you hanging did you? I would never. That day I simply made regular chocolate milkshakes, which by the way taste like a Frosty from Wendy’s (if you ask me). This time I added a frozen banana and used my from-scratch chocolate syrup for the reliable chocolate banana milkshake.

Oh and you’ll want some extra large straws for this extra thick shake.

To make these bonkers standout milkshakes start by pouring 2/3 cup of whole milk into the pitcher.

Then pour in a 1/2 cup of my kitchen-made chocolate syrup…

… drop in the frozen bananas…

…2 heaping cups (seriously eyeball it here).vanilla ice cream…

… and lastly 2 cups of ice.

Secure the lid, plug in the blender…

…turn the dial to the smoothie/milkshake speed…

…press the start button and behold the magic.

Blend until the milkshake ingredients are combined, thick and smooth.

Pour into chilled glasses, top with whipped cream, a few slices of bananas and drizzle more of that chocolate syrup.

Insert straws and sip.

WORTH THE POT! There’s nothing like a kitchen-made chocolate shake. Nothing. And if you’re not a fan of bananas, simply omit them for a especially good chocolate milk good worthy of dipping french fries in… or maybe that’s simply me.

Enjoy! And if you give this Chocolate Banana Milkshake recipe a try, let me know! Snap a photo and tag me on twitter or instagram!
